Twangorama is the brainchild of Jimmy Robinson, a guitarist who has been at the forefront of progressive music in New Orleans since the late '60's. He has led his own fusion rock ensemble Woodenhead for some 25 years but had the idea of joining forces with other guitarists in the city, and the result is Twangorama. This CD features Phil deGruy on his 17-string "guitarp" and Cranston Clements on 6-string acoustic & electric guitars along with Mr. Robinson. Woodenhead's rhythm section, Paul Clement on fretless bass and Mark Whitaker on drums, bring the experience and musicality necessary to support the intricate compositions featured here.
